Terms of Service
These Terms govern access to and use of Research GAP. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age at which you may enter this agreement in your jurisdiction. You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
2. The service
Research GAP assists with bounded exploration of scholarly literature. It may search third-party indexes, extract limited evidence from accessible sources, and use automated systems to produce summaries, comparisons, citations, and possible research directions.
Research GAP does not guarantee that a search is complete, every relevant paper has been located, generated statements or citations are accurate, a proposed topic is novel, a result qualifies as a systematic review, or output is professional, academic, legal, medical, or research advice.
You are responsible for checking the original sources and independently verifying important results.
3. Accounts and usage allowances
You are responsible for activity under your account. Credits, quotas, rate limits, concurrency limits, and feature availability may vary by account type and may be changed to protect service reliability or prevent abuse.
Free allowances have no cash value, may not be transferred, and may be limited to one allowance per verified person or email address. Attempts to evade quotas or obtain duplicate allowances may result in suspension.
4. Billing status
Live billing is currently disabled. Any price, subscription, credit quantity, or payment screen displayed for development or testing is nonbinding and is not an offer for sale.
Before accepting payments, Research GAP will publish the final price, applicable taxes, payment timing, renewal terms, credit rules, cancellation procedure, refund terms, statutory withdrawal information, seller identity, and payment-provider information. Where legally required, users will be asked to accept updated terms before purchasing.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the research ideas, instructions, and other original material you submit.
You grant Research GAP a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, transmit, format, and process that material only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service in accordance with the Privacy Notice.
You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights or confidentiality obligations. Do not submit confidential, embargoed, personal, or sensitive information unless you are authorized to do so and accept the associated processing risks.
6. Scholarly and third-party content
Paper titles, metadata, abstracts, quotations, and links may originate from independent databases, authors, repositories, or publishers. Their content remains subject to the rights and licences of the relevant owners.
Access through Research GAP does not give you ownership of a paper or permission to redistribute it. You must comply with the source licence, attribution requirements, and applicable copyright law.
Third-party services may change, restrict, or discontinue access. Research GAP is not responsible for independent websites or third-party content.
7. Research GAP intellectual property
Except for user content, third-party material, and separately licensed open-source components, the Research GAP software, interface, branding, and original content are owned by Research GAP or its licensors.
You may use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or exploit protected parts of the service except where applicable law or an applicable open-source licence expressly permits it.
8. Acceptable use
You may not:
- use the service unlawfully or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or confidentiality rights;
- submit malicious code or interfere with the service;
- bypass authentication, quotas, rate limits, or security controls;
- scrape or automate access except through an expressly authorized interface;
- use multiple accounts or identities to obtain duplicate free allowances;
- misrepresent generated output as verified fact or conceal its use where disclosure is required;
- use the service to create harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive material;
- use retrieved materials in violation of their source licences;
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security risks, abuse, legal requirements, nonpayment, or a material breach of these Terms.
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion. Some limited records may remain as described in the Privacy Notice.
10. Availability and changes
Research GAP may be unavailable because of maintenance, faults, provider outages, quotas, or changes to third-party services. We do not promise uninterrupted operation.
We may modify or discontinue features. When a change materially affects paid users, any notice and remedy required by applicable law will be provided.
11. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Research GAP is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Research GAP will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost research time, lost data, lost profits, or decisions based on generated output.
This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability arising from intentional misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections that apply in the consumer’s place of residence.
Before filing a claim, you may contact temka4705@gmail.com so that we can attempt to resolve the issue. The competent court will be determined under applicable law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
